Last week we looked at God’s Promise concerning our faith, but now we turn to what is really at the core of our faith,

I have included some of the Hebrew and Greek from which we can recognize some of the names of God we have just finished studying.
El Amiyr(faithful), Rachuwm(Merciful) Yovah, Makrothumeo(Patient), Yahweh Nathan Sha’an(God has given rest), ‘Asah Mopheth (You have done wonders), Etsah Rachowq (Counseled from afar), Emet Amiyr(faithful and true), Lo’ Azab Darash(You have not forsaken them that seek you), Re’esh Dabar ‘emeth ‘owlam(The sum of Your Word is true forever), Kol mishpat tsedeq(All Your judgements are righteous), Yacad 'erets `amad(You founded the earth, and it still stands), hosos gar epaggelia theos, en Autos ho nai, kai en Autos ho amen(All as are promises of God, in Him are Yes, and Amen.) Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
Deuteronomy 4:31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
Psalm 105:8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Hebrew 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

But let us look at the aspect of God which is of utmost importance to us as flesh and bone in a world of sin and grief...His mercy.
Psalms 136
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.
To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.
To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.
To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.
To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever:
The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever:

Let us, then, give thanks for God’s faithful Mercy!
